Leipzig Patrick heeft aan de wedstrijd een dubbel gevoel over gehouden. Hij had gehoopt dat hij direct het limiet zou gaan lopen, maar aan de andere kant is het een fantastische tijd voor een eerste wedstrijd. Het is namelijk wel een persoonlijk record van 0.04s. Patrick is 2e overall geworden op de Erdgas meeting in Leipzig. In de series liep van Luijk al een persoonlijk record van 6.72, maar in de finale verbeterde hij dit tot 6.69. Hij is hiermee gedeeld 4e allertijden op de Nederlandse ranglijst op de 60m indoor. Als ranglijstaanvoerder 2009 staat van Luijk aanstaande zaterdag op de startlijst van de KBC meeting in Gent en hij hoopt zich daar te kwalificeren voor het EK. PvL webteam p.s.
